yes3D model of a popular British small car produced by the Austin Motor Company as part of their highly successful Austin 7 series. The Ruby was an updated version of the original Austin 7 with improvements in styling, comfort and performance. The car featured compact dimensions, rounded lines, and a distinctive grille. The Austin 7 Ruby was powered by a 747cc in-line four-cylinder engine. The Ruby was a two-door, four-passenger sedan.
3D model created maximally close to a real Austin car and based on the dimensions from open sources.
All model files were "smoothed". By request we provide unsmoothed files.
All main parts of the model are separated objects. You can easily change all materials.
We provide several formats for each model, most of them are available by default.
Images are rendered using V-Ray plugin, lighting and environment are not included to a set.
Model is pretty neat, but not without issues. I’m no ‘7’ expert, but it looks like this is a bit of an amagam of the 1934 ARQ and the 1936 ARR. It has the later window style. The ‘waistband continued around the rear on the ’34, but as modelled on the ’36. Not sure about the softtop length, most seem to only cover the front half rather than full length – all though some are full. Crank emerges from the radiator – it has obviously moved at some point – The end of the crank handle is in space in the correct position. All this is relatively minor thoiugh – its a great model.
