yes3D model of a powerful ancient artillery weapon used by the Romans in the 4th century BC. It had a frame made of wood and a large torsion spring that propelled projectiles such as arrows and stones over long distances. The Ballista was able to launch projectiles up to 500 meters and was used for both siege and field warfare. It required a crew of several men to operate and was considered one of the most effective artillery weapons of its time. The Ballista continued to be used throughout the Roman Empire and inspired the development of later artillery weapons.
3D model based on the original dimensions of a real ancient weapon.
All model files were "smoothed". By request we provide unsmoothed files.
All main parts of the model are separated objects. You can easily change all materials.
We provide several formats for each model, most of them are available by default.
Images are rendered using V-Ray plugin, lighting and environment are not included to a set.
Four major problems that makes the price WAY over the top.
1) the ropes ALWAYS twists in opposite directions over and under the bow part.
2) the wood texture makes it look like a tiny model. The grain is much too prominent.
3) Where are the bolt holding it together?
4) You wouldn’t build a heavy wooden construction like that without some sort of fitting the pieces together rather than merely stacking them on top of eachother.
awesome. i absolutly like this work.
