3D model of a powerful ancient artillery weapon used by the Romans in the 4th century BC. It had a frame made of wood and a large torsion spring that propelled projectiles such as arrows and stones over long distances. The Ballista was able to launch projectiles up to 500 meters and was used for both siege and field warfare. It required a crew of several men to operate and was considered one of the most effective artillery weapons of its time. The Ballista continued to be used throughout the Roman Empire and inspired the development of later artillery weapons.
