3D model of a popular and affordable small car, also known as the Citroën Type C, produced by the French automobile manufacturer Citroën. Designed by company founder André Citroën, the 5CV Torpedo was introduced in 1922 and remained in production until 1926. The car's primary role was to provide a reliable, easy-to-drive and economical vehicle for the growing middle-class market in the post-World War I era. The Citroen 5CV featured a 4-cylinder, 856 cc engine that produced 11 horsepower, giving the car a top speed of approximately 37 miles per hour (60 km/h). The Torpedo body style was characterized by its open top and simple design. With a relatively low weight of about 1,100 pounds (500 kg), the car was both nimble and fuel efficient. Over 80,000 units of the Citroen 5CV were produced during its four-year production run.
