3D model of a German multirole bomber that saw extensive service during World War II. Developed in the 1930s, the Ju 88 was originally designed as a fast medium bomber, but its adaptable airframe allowed it to excel in a variety of roles, including dive bombing, night flying, torpedo bombing, and reconnaissance. The aircraft featured a distinctive glass canopy and a modular nose that could be configured to meet different mission requirements. The Ju 88 played a crucial role in many theaters of conflict, participating in the Battle of Britain, the Eastern Front, and the Mediterranean campaigns. Its flexibility and combat performance made it one of the most important Luftwaffe aircraft of the war.
