3D model of a landmark skyscraper in New York City. Completed in 1958, it was designed by renowned German-American architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and his colleague, American architect Philip Johnson. The building is 38 storeys high and was notable for its innovative use of a bronze-tinted glass curtain wall. The tower was commissioned by Joseph E. Seagram & Sons, a Canadian distillery company, as its corporate headquarters. The building is considered a classic example of International Style architecture, with its sleek, minimalist design and use of modern materials. It has been praised for its elegant simplicity and has won numerous awards for its design. The Seagram Building is now owned by RFR Holding LLC and is a designated New York City landmark.
