One Last Time

When I was 5 my dad brought his dream car, a beat-up 1969 Mini. Mini always have been one of my favorite cars and a strong connection with my dad.

To commemorate that, I wanted to portrait the last time Mini won the Monte Carlo Rally in 1967.

The Story

Mini won the Monte Carlo Rally on 1964 and 1965, on 1966 they won first, second and third place but they were disqualified (along with Ford) for an irregularity in the headlights.

It was the most controversial edition and one of the biggest scandals in rally history. That allowed Citroën to win.

The Mini Crew stated that they were not going to participate in the 1967 edition but end up doing it and wining for the third (fourth) time.
