Princess Amelia, Leader of the Desert Automatons

Two moons ago, Princess Amelia learned of new hope for the survival of her kind - a fully-grown succulent, the only one ever rumored to exist in the sands of the Mediterranean desert. The mech-automatons of the North understood its value, and kept it under lock and key in their Northern Laboratory, underneath the ruins of Crete. It was not enough for the automatons to boil the ocean dry with their Great Steam Engines - their former human overlords had to be crushed for good.

With the help of a rebel faction of mech-mammals and mech-birds, Amelia launched a successful sneak attack under fog cover. In a great hurry, she and her trusty Owlglider snatched the sacred succulent and swooped off to their tents in the South.

However, the light in the tunnel is still dim - to her horror, a vicious and persistent hunter-mech has tracked her across the dunes. Yesterday, Owlglider's wings were nearly clipped by its cannonfire. Owlglider needs water to keep flapping her wings; if they don't spot another oasis, Amelia's hard work will be in vain ...
