Retro Mirth Mobile Poster

For this year's Hum3D car challenge I wanted to create a composition of a car that wasn't necessarily cool or that good looking so a 1976 AMC Pacer fit the bill and this particular one is based off of the Mirth mobile from the movie Wayne's World with the iconic flames painted on the side. I struggled for a while with background ground concepts which originally were more realistic but in the end decided to go more stylized drawing inspiration from retro car posters and the art work of the iconic Syd Mead. Doing this brought back all kinds of memories from my childhood when I would lay in my bed starring at all my pinned up posters and letting the imagination run wild.
