Hi, I wanted to try my luck on a new challenge, so here is my design for the Hum3D Car render challenge 2022.

First I started by working out a concept in AI Dall-E and gathering references. After I had a rough direction I could also sharpen the idea here.

The idea was to create a skydeck with a golden car and a golden light atmosphere.

My pick was a Ford Falcon from the 2000s as the car because there are almost no models of it and I like the design. When modelling in 3ds Max I didn't try a 1-to-1 reconstruction because I wanted to modify certain elements (automatic to the gear shift, German seat arrangement etc.). After modelling and unwrapping in 3ds Max I could start texturing the car and environment in Substance painter and Photoshop. Here I also wanted to add some dragon decals ( two of them were done in DallE and the other is from one of my favourite game series) I am still trying to learn Unreal and Arnold so I did the Clay render in Arnold and the final Render in Unreal.

The process was fun and I could try some new things, I would love to hear your thoughts.
