Let it Go, Doo Doo Doo Doo

I really wanted to work on something that I could get my 3-year-old daughter, and 1-year-old son involved. Doing a “Scaled Toy Cars” inspired scene with cars designed for my children was the perfect solution. My daughter picked the themes of the cars. She wanted a “Snow Queen” (you know the movie) car, and she picked a “Little Sharky” (the baby song, do do do…) for my son.

The scene is inspired by our own house. The biggest challenge here was figuring out the composition due to the focal length of the camera, and the distortion due to the lens settings. My daughter made some artwork that I added into the scene, and all of the models are based on things around our house (Ikea furniture, foam numbers, squeaky fish, Uplift active stool). My daughter went around our house and picked some things, and I modeled them. I changed some colors and materials, but overall it is fairly faithful to what she picked out.
