I wanted to make a exploration type of rover that could find application in the real world, like going to mars. The rover could be either small or medium size. In a small version, it could be deployed in a swarm like fashion. While in a medium size variant, it could carry out tasks like taking and analysing probes, mapping the environment with its specific omni-camera system, making distance or to build up something, with expansion gear attached to it. I wanted the design to be somewhat simple, but functional and with a certain appeal, like a living creature. I first concepted a couple of prototypes before picking the parts that i liked. Combining and iterating both the rover and the overall composition was a enjoyable challenge. The project was realized over the span of about a month on the side.
