Hi everyone! We continue series of short interviews with the best artists from 3DModels competitions.
Denis Cb, author of the “Chevrolet 3100”, will answer six questions and give us a look behind the scenes of his work.
Hello, my name is Denis cb. I’m from Bangalore, India. I have been very creative since my childhood, from drawing on the streets to participating in art competitions. Once I did a portrait drawing of an elephant, displayed in my portfolio, it motivated me to do more so I started learning 3d at home from online tutorials youtube etc. I studied 3d for 1.5 years and then I was placed in a company.
Jurassic Park and King Kong was the inspiration for my scene. At first I wanted to create something new and realistic, something no one had ever done before. So this idea came up where the car was stuck on a pile of veins. Had picked up a few references online and put it all together and this was the result.
I did not use many plugins, expect blenderkit for the HDRI and botaniq for the green grass on the veins. Since this was the first time im participating in a 3D competition, I had to give my 100% commitment and time. I started this challenge 30 days before the end of the challenge somehow managed to finish it in my spare time and had the opportunity to learn a lot from creating a car to creating veins in the scene, getting the right lighting was also difficult to achieve.
Since I work full time, I usually work on my personal projects when I have time, this compass was made in my spare time, I loved the final output and lighting for the scene.
There are too many incredible artists out there that inspire me to keep loving what I do.
