A Classic, re-imagined as Hot Wheels toy

The 1976 Suzuki Alto(Fronte); sold in India as the Maruti 800 from the early 1980's onwards, is one of The most iconic vehicles to ever 'grace' India's streets! In an India that was still transitioning from a conservative Socialist economy to a more liberal one, this vehicle can easily be compared to the ideals of the Model T, Citroen 2CV, or the VW Beetle - a vehicle that put an entire nation on wheels at a time when cars were still considered a luxury.

Most of us learnt to drive in one! The standards it set for refinement and reliability at the time are still the stuff of legend today.

But sadly, I still couldn't find a Matchbox or Hot Wheels model for this iconic mini car that we all adore so much ... Until, that is, i set put to create one in Rhino3D; with my trusty old Keyshot and Adobe Photoshop for company.

I would so want Mattel to consider building this someday to add to y ever-growing 'toy' collection!!
