3D model of a nuclear-powered attack submarine used by the Russian Navy. It was designed for a range of missions, including anti-submarine warfare, intelligence gathering, and strike operations. The submarines of this class are known for their speed, maneuverability, and advanced weapons systems. They have a length of 113 meters, a beam of 15 meters, and a displacement of 13,800 tons when submerged. The Akula-class submarines have a crew of around 70 personnel and are powered by two nuclear reactors, allowing them to operate for extended periods of time without refueling. They can travel at speeds of over 30 knots while submerged and can dive to depths greater than 500 meters. As of 2021, the Russian Navy had 6 Akula-class submarines in service, with additional units undergoing modernization and upgrades.
