3D model of a sniper rifle, also known as the SVD, designed by Soviet weapons engineer Yevgeny Dragunov in the early 1960s. Officially adopted by the Soviet military in 1963, the SVD quickly became the standard sniper rifle for Soviet and later Russian forces. Chambered for the 7.62x54mmR cartridge, the Dragunov has a detachable 10-round box magazine and an effective range of approximately 800 metres. Equipped with a PSO-1 telescopic sight, the SVD allows accurate target acquisition and engagement even in low light conditions.
