3D model of a multi-role patrol frigate built for the Royal Canadian Navy. The first ship, HMCS Halifax, was launched in 1987, and since then, a total of 12 frigates have been built. The Halifax class frigate is equipped with a wide range of weapons and sensors, including anti-ship missiles, torpedoes, guns, and surveillance radars. It also has a flight deck and hangar for one CH-124 Sea King or CH-148 Cyclone helicopter. The frigate has a length of approximately 135 meters and a displacement of around 4,770 tons. It has a top speed of 29 knots and a range of 9,500 nautical miles. The Halifax class frigate has been deployed on various missions, including anti-piracy operations off the coast of Somalia and counter-terrorism operations in the Middle East. It is also used for maritime surveillance and search and rescue operations.

  1. The model is quite detailed and looks realistic. The dimensions match the specs on Wikipedia.

    I’ve had to do some repainting to make it look more like the real Canadian ship.

    But over all I’m very pleased with this model.
