The Halifax class frigate is equipped with a wide range of weapons and sensors, including anti-ship missiles, torpedoes, guns, and surveillance radars. It also has a flight deck and hangar for one CH-124 Sea King or CH-148 Cyclone helicopter. The frigate has a length of approximately 135 meters and a displacement of around 4,770 tons. It has a top speed of 29 knots and a range of 9,500 nautical miles. The Halifax class frigate has been deployed on various missions, including anti-piracy operations off the coast of Somalia and counter-terrorism operations in the Middle East. It is also used for maritime surveillance and search and rescue operations.
