yes3D model of a Soviet lunar rover that was launched in 1973 as part of the Luna program. It was the second of two successful lunar rovers sent to the Moon, and the longest operating robotic rover of all time, spending over 4 months exploring the surface of the Moon. Lunokhod 2 was equipped with a suite of scientific instruments, including a spectrometer, x-ray fluorescence analyzer, and a laser reflector, and was able to travel up to 3 kilometers per hour, covering a total distance of 39 kilometers during its mission. It was controlled remotely from Earth, and sent back a wealth of data and images that greatly enhanced our understanding of the Moon's surface and composition.
The model is made in compliance with the proportions and dimensions of the real spacecraft.
All files were "smoothed", but you can write to us and get a version with the original geometry. You can download the model in any convenient format.
Object has separated main parts so that you can easily make any changes and modify materials.
- Textures are included in the set;
- Images were rendered in V-Ray without post-processing.
