3D model of a solid frame revolver designed by Austrian engineers August Rast and Karl Gasser in the late 19th century. Manufactured by the Austrian firm Leopold Gasser, the M1898 was chambered for the 8x27mm Gasser cartridge and featured an 8-shot cylinder, providing considerable firepower for its time. The revolver was adopted by the Austro-Hungarian army and saw extensive use during the First World War, earning a reputation for its rugged construction and reliability. The Rast & Gasser M1898 uses a gate loading mechanism, requiring the user to load and unload cartridges individually through a loading gate on the right side of the frame.
