Springfield M1903 3D model

3D model of a bolt action rifle designed and manufactured by the Springfield Armoryr. It was developed in response to the US Army's need for a modern rifle following the experiences of the Spanish-American War. The rifle was officially adopted by the US military in 1903 and saw extensive service during World War I, World War II and the Korean War. The M1903 is chambered for the .30-06 Springfield cartridge. The design of the rifle was heavily influenced by the German Mauser 98 rifle, incorporating features such as a staggered column box magazine, a cock-on-opening bolt and a similar safety mechanism. The M1903A4 was a sniper variant equipped with a telescopic sight and served as the standard sniper rifle of the US Army during World War II.
