This is the MOBIUS 2. The second generation of a car manufactured in my homeland, Kenya, which makes it the only vehicle of its kind around these parts. It therefore posed some unique challenges in modeling, such as insufficient angles on the blueprints I conveniently found; and a glaring scarcity of reference images online.

I enjoyed the experience nevertheless, and even managed to make a few slight modifications at the end of the process. I am quite eager to see how this render from a realtime engine will stack up against the likes of V-Ray and Corona.

  1. Adol!! You have done it again!

Stellar work on this one. The details is soooo good! And as a fellow countryman I’m filled with optimism what the future holds for Mobius.

    Stay winning Champ.

This render is essentially a celebration of the first car to be manufactured in Kenya and the progress that it has made since its conception. I was also motivated to discover and showcase the capabilities of D5 render for such a brief.

My fellow countrymen seem to takee great pride in the fact that we are often unfazed in the face of adversity. This was the inspiration behind the execution of this concept. Above is a depiction of Mobius clad in the appropriate attire necessary for traversing all kinds of terrain on the continent – from coast to coast and all the way back home. A journey that it definitely will make…
