Another one bites the dust

Here you can see one of the most exciting competitions of Ancient Rome, the quadrigae races that took place in the Circus Maximus. It was a terrible fight for the first place because of the danger that they had to face, with the reins wrapped to their bodies and a knife to cut them, in an accident the chances of surviving were unusual. This scene tries to show the harshness of a race without remorse.

  1. Awesome! :D

  2. Thanks Miguel! I’m glad you liked it

  3. Nice one ! I think it could be coll to see just the arm (out of the chariot) of the man who is falling down in the background. The wound of the horse is a bit odd, I don’t think it’s necessary to hurt horses in this area.
The well in background is bit “straight and clean”, adding some imperfections could be nice too. Great work Aitor ! :)
